Youths Celebrate! 2019

Watch Supertree Grove transform into an enchanting neon jungle at this year’s youth festival, Youths Celebrate! Snap pictures of neon light installations and enjoy a host of exciting programmes from movie screenings and performances to upcycling workshops. Don’t forget to drop by the neon night market for interesting offerings, and the fun zone where you get to experience games and activities amidst vivid neon lights.

DJ UNIC

  • Widely known for her vibrant style and keeping up with the current music trends, DJ UNIC mixes both youth and dynamism into her set. It is her groovy and heart-throbbing dance tunes that keeps the crowd going wild partying from dusk to dawn.

Stage Performances

From Friday to Sunday during Youths Celebrate!, talented local performers will serenade the crowd with music of diverse genres. Bring your picnic mats and enjoy these performances under the stars with your friends and loved ones!

Codie

  • With her earnest and stirring voice accompanied by her transparent music, Codie has played for multiple events such as SCAPE Invasion, Celebrate December @Esplanade Concourse, Artbox Singapore and Sofar Sounds Singapore.

Daniel Siddy

  • 23-year-old Daniel Siddy is one of Singapore’s most sought-after singer-songwriters, who cut his teeth busking along the streets, all around the world. This multi-instrumentalist and vocalist brings a performance like no other, singing the greatest hits across genres and decades.

  • OneSvn is a Singaporean 4 piece vocal group consisting of vocalists Sofyan, Fazli, Hambali, and Amirul. Known for combining their 4 unique vocal styles creating 1 rhythmic harmony, Onesvn has since performed at various local events and recently emerged as Grand Champion in the open category of BDazzled Music Festival.

Ralph Alvern

  • Ralph Alvern is a local Singer-Songwriter who started out from busking in the streets of Orchard to performing on the same stage with the likes of Nathan Hartono, Shigga Shay and many more. At the age of 22, with over 150+ original songs under his belt, Ralph's dream is to be a successful musician in the developing arts scene in Singapore and possibly, breakthrough into the world stage.

The Unemployed

  • The Unemployed is a local busking duo who have been hitting up the streets of Singapore with their acoustic renditions of Top 40s, Evergreen hits and even Malay songs. It started out off as an idea by two long-time friends, Ang Cheng Wei and Er Young Yee who were previously members of Victoria Junior College Choir, and wanted to take their performances beyond the choral scene.

  • XYN is an acoustic duo who started out covering songs ranging from alternative pop to indie folk genres. The duo’s sound is influenced by artists like First Aid Kit, The Civil Wars and bands from the 90s-00s. XYN also performs at weddings and had their latest gig at Twilight Encounters.

Elaine

  • Combining old school influences such as The Carpenters with youthful acts such as Lucy Rose; Daniela Andrade; Billie Marten and Rosie Carney, Elaine creates her own brand of indie folk pop originals out of a place of struggle and brings with her a conviction of earnest hope and light expressed through her sultry vocals and warm melodies.

Killedbythecircus (Ming Jun)

  • Killedbythecircus is the stage name of Jay Yeo Ming Jun and the personification of his craft and passion. It is an embodiment of his unfettered emotion, inconvenient and non-conforming. The gamut of emotion is likewise expressed in an unrestrained clash and fusion of pop, indie and rock, not quite belonging to any of these labels yet familiar all the same.

Fyrdauz Macbeth

  • Fyrdauz started his musical journey back in his polytechnic days when he wanted to explore himself as a solo performer as a member himself in the Hip-Hop Dance club and an Acapella club. He has since been performing on the streets of Singapore with his acoustic guitar since 2016 as a solo act and had opportunities to perform at bigger venues.

JQ X ZUL

  • JQ x ZUL is a singer-songwriter duo that mix influences of Acoustic Pop and Folk. They capture the hearts of audiences with their unique sound and have worked with Marina Bay Sands, Singapore Gardens Festival, DBS Busking By The Bay, AIA Glow Festival and many more. Honoured to be part of the NOISE Music Mentorship Programme 2018, they are currently in the midst of recording their own music that will be released later in the year.

Y&Z

  • Y&Z is a versatile acoustic duo made up of Yokez and Zerlene who has the ability to captivate the audience with their positive energy. Zerlene is a multi-lingual singer-guitarist who is able to perform in a variety of languages and Yokez is an independent Singaporean singer-songwriter who has melted the hearts of many at cafes, bars, corporate events and weddings.

Cold Cut Duo

  • The Cold Cut Duo is a performing band by Gwendolyn Lee and Wilson Wong. The Duo also posts up covers regularly on YouTube and has gained alot of good responses on platforms such as YES 933FM, VS Media and ET Today. Gwendolyn's music career escalated with her participation in Channel U’s Campus Superstar 2013, clinching the runner-up position and Wilson Wong was approached to work on a song with veteran singer, Lillian Chan from Hong Kong. He has since worked with many big names in the local industry such as Shigga Shay, Micapella and more!
