As a people’s garden, Gardens by the Bay believes that nature should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or background. The Social Inclusion pillar focuses on removing barriers and creating welcoming experiences for diverse communities.
Gift of Gardens curates tailored programmes such as Quiet Mornings for persons with autism, sensory tours for persons with visual impairment, and dedicated tours for the Deaf community. These programmes are carefully designed in consultation with partners and beneficiaries to ensure they are meaningful, comfortable, and respectful.
As part of these efforts, Gardens by the Bay has trained a team of eight visually impaired docents who co-lead sensory tours alongside Gardens by the Bay Volunteer Buddies.
The conservatories also open an hour earlier on selected dates for the Quiet Morning programme, offering persons with autism and their families a calmer and more comfortable experience.
"Thank you very much for organising the wonderful guided tour to the Cloud Forest on 6 December 2025. I truly appreciated the special tactile booklet prepared by Garden by the Bay, which allowed us to feel the different plant textures, shapes, and even enjoy the peppery aromas. It made the learning experience very engaging and meaningful."

"Flower Dome felt like a Garden instead of a tourist hotspot for the first time. Truly felt like a Garden where we can literally feel and smell the flowers. It was a lovely morning to quietly appreciate the flowers with my child."
