The Learning Through Nature pillar focuses on ensuring that children, especially those from low-income families, have equal access to educational experiences in the Gardens.
Students are given opportunities to participate in nature-based learning programmes that support their development in areas such as language, literacy, curiosity, and critical thinking.
"We are exposed to the natural environment, plants and flowers that we don't see in school...it benefits us in terms of our knowledge, now we get to know that we have these plants in Singapore."
Daeng Jaridaharyanti (Mother to a 4 Years Old)
"This was our first time visit to Floral Fantasy and Flower Dome and we really enjoyed. We especially loved walking through the Flower Dome together — it was relaxing, beautiful, and a lovely way to explore nature as a family. We learned a lot about different plants and saw many unique flowers up close. It was a meaningful experience that helped us bond while discovering nature together."
Mei Li (Mother to a 7- and 4-year-old)
