Charge up with Bloom!

A Garden Trail to Learn About Reduce, Reuse and Recycle

Everlasting Eric’s Supertrees are unable to power up in the evening and he needs your help to light up his Supertrees!

Go on a quest and find out how our Plantkeepers do their part to conserve our environment through the use of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle (3R) practices in their daily activities. Share your 3R pledge to sustainability, and be rewarded at the end of the quest as you help Everlasting Eric charge up his Supertrees!

Meet our Plantkeepers!

Sindora the Sepetir Tree

  • Golden Garden (near Main Arrival)
  • Let's do it!

Ensure that the item you intend to recycle is not contaminated by food or liquids before you throw it in the bin. Dirty items will contaminate the other items in the recycling bin and turn them into general waste.

  • Did you know?

Recycling turns items that would otherwise fill up landfills into new products. Recycling bins can be found all over the Gardens so do your part to sort your trash when you visit us to give it a new lease of life.

Ricky-Rhodo & Olivia the Olive

  • Friends of the Gardens Centre (near Canopy)
  • Let's do it!

Reuse glass jars to store food, make a terrarium, display cut flowers or paint them and pop a candle in to create a beautiful lantern!

  • Did you know?

Glass can be used over and over again as it is a very strong material. This year’s Poinsettia Wishes floral display will feature a Christmas tree made from over 300 old wine bottles.

Everlasting Eric

  • Supertree Grove (near Floral Clock)
  • Let's do it!

Do your part to check that the lights and fans in the room have been switched off before you leave the room.

  • Did you know?

The Supertrees have solar panels on them to harvest energy from the sun. This energy is used to offset the power needed for the nightly Garden Rhapsody at Supertree Grove, reducing the Garden’s reliance on energy generated using fossil fuels.

Sprout the Otter

  • Planet (near Meadow)
  • Let's do it!

Use old newspapers for papier mache projects or old magazine pages to fold origami!

  • Did you know?

Going digital helps to save paper. The Gardens has introduced e-tickets to cut down the amount of paper needed to print tickets. This helps us to conserve precious natural resources!

Darcy the Dragonfly

  • SG50 Lattice (near Bayfront Plaza)
  • Let's do it!

Turn off the tap when you are brushing your teeth and use a mug filled with water to rinse your mouth instead!

  • Did you know?

Every living thing needs water! The Gardens was designed as a water catchment area so every time it rains, the rainwater is collected in our lakes. This water is then used to irrigate our plants.
