Photo Exhibition:

The Great Inca Road – Peru: Integration and Diversity

The Inca Road (Qhapaq Ñan) is a monumental network built by the Inca Empire in the mid-15th century to connect communities and centres of power across some of the most dramatic terrain in the Andes.

A chronicler once wrote that no road “of such greatness” had ever been seen. The photographs in this exhibition move from that distant admiration into the present, following Qhapaq Ñan as it exists today and revealing how communities continue to depend on and care for it.
