  2. Admission to River Hongbao is free and Supertree Grove and The Meadows will be gated for the event on:
    • 20 Jan 2023:  6.30pm to 10.30pm
    • 21 Jan 2023:  6.30pm to 12.15am
    • 22-28 Jan 2023:  2.30pm to 10.30pm

Visitors attending the River Hongbao event will be required to undergo bag checks at the entrance checkpoints. For more information, click here.

River Hongbao

Join River Hongbao’s new bunny mascots Prosperity (福儿) and Longevity (寿儿) for an amazing Chinese New Year experience at Gardens by the Bay. Enjoy glowing lantern displays, stage performances and carnival games, and learn about the evolution of greeting cards and Chinese motifs at an exhibition.

Adding to the festive celebration are virtual activities, including an adorable bunny mascot AR filter on Tiktok that mimics your actions, a live Feng Shui show on Facebook, and online contests with prizes to be won.

This event is jointly organised by the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations, Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and Industry, SPH Media Trust’s Chinese Media Group, Singapore Tourism Board and People's Association.

The Greetings and Blessings: Chinese New Year Cards Then and Now exhibition showcases Chinese New Year cards mainly from the 1950s to 1970s in Singapore. With the inclusion of diverse and interesting elements, these cards feature the vibrant scenes of a past Singapore, and reflect social trends as well as Chinese traditions, culture, and values.
