Satay by the Bay will close from 1 October 2026 to make way for a refreshed waterfront dining experience as part of the Wetlands by the Bay development.

Bay South–Bay East Bridge Construction from 4 May 2026
To facilitate the construction of the bridge linking Bay South Garden and Bay East Garden, there will be no access for cyclists along the Waterfront Promenade from 4 May 2026. During the construction of the bridge, cyclists heading towards Marina Barrage are advised to take an alternative route around the perimeter of Bay South Garden. Pedestrians may still access the Waterfront Promenade, with a slight diversion to their route.

Art & Storytelling Workshop: The Sea That Unites Us
Celebrate the ocean as a meeting point between Portugal and Singapore in this family-friendly workshop blending environmental education, art and cultural discovery.
Children will take part in a sea-inspired painting activity, exploring marine conservation, biodiversity and the two countries’ historical connections to the ocean. The session also includes a children’s story about the sea, told in both Portuguese and English—an engaging introduction to Portuguese language and culture.

Traditional Portuguese Folkore Dance
Experience the vibrant heritage of the Portuguese-Eurasian community through an energetic showcase of traditional folk dance by the Eurasian Association (EA) Dance Troupe. Highlighted by the iconic traditional folk dance and portuguese song Malhão, Malhão, the troupe brings the lively rhythms, colourful traditional costumes, and festive spirit of Portugal’s regional heritage to life.
