Botanical Silhouettes: Make Your Own Shadow Art
by Singapore Association for Mental Health

Discover nature in a quiet and creative way by tracing the shadows of plants in the sunlight.

Even in a busy city like Singapore, nature is all around us in trees, flowers, and tiny roadside plants. With just paper and pencils, you will trace these shadow shapes as if you are drawing with light, enjoying a peaceful moment with nature. This activity encourages mindfulness, creativity, and a renewed appreciation for the beauty in everyday moments.

This workshop is a collaboration between the Singapore Association for Mental Health and Gardens by the Bay. As part of the Gift of Gardens community outreach initiative and a year-long wellness series at Gardens by the Bay, the workshop is designed to inspire and equip participants with practical ways to nurture mental well-being through the therapeutic wonders of nature.

Participants are invited to submit their finished artworks to the Singapore Association for Mental Health for an upcoming community art exhibition next year. You're also welcome to take your artwork home.
