Travel back over six centuries to the golden age of the Ottoman Empire at Gardens by the Bay’s Blue Beauties floral display, where over 30 varieties of hydrangeas in hues of blue and purple set the stage for a journey through one of Türkiye’s most magnificent civilisations.
Marvel at a recreation of the iconic Topkapı Palace, once home to Ottoman royalty for nearly four centuries and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The walls are richly adorned with motifs inspired by blue-and-white Iznik tiles – the empire’s most celebrated ceramic art, whose signature palette is echoed throughout the display.
Surrounding the palace is a lush garden layered with greenery, shaded walkways and gently flowing fountains, reflecting Ottoman design principles where water and symmetry are used to create cool, tranquil retreats that offer respite from the outside world.
The journey continues through the enduring symbols of Ottoman life, from the bustling Grand Bazaar to the Maiden’s Tower, said to have been built by a sultan to protect his daughter from a fatal snakebite, but a snake hidden in a basket of fruit ultimately caused her death.

Flower Dome
At the heart of Blue Beauties stands a recreation of the iconic Topkapı Palace – home to Ottoman royalty for nearly four centuries and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. Its walls are richly adorned with motifs inspired by İznik tiles, the empire's most celebrated ceramic art, whose signature blue-and-white palette resonates throughout the entire display.
Witness the Maiden's Tower, home to a legendary tale of a sultan who built an island fortress to protect his daughter from a prophesied snakebite, only for fate to deliver the snake in a basket of fruit on her eighteenth birthday.
Marvel at Cappadocia’s iconic hot air balloons, then step into the gentle rhythms of Ottoman daily life. Discover the warm glow of traditional lamp art and the rich tea and coffee rituals that have defined hospitality across the region for centuries.
