Opening Hours
Mon, 8 Sep - Sun, 12 Oct 2025
9.00am - 9.00pm
In Alpine Adventure, the wild landscapes of Switzerland’s alpine regions in summer are creatively interpreted for Flower Dome for the first time. Over 50 varieties of alpine and seasonal plants form the plant palette, while cheerful begonias in vivid shades of red, pink, and white echo those found decorating the balconies of Swiss chalets and alpine towns.
Also celebrated are Switzerland’s iconic landmarks and traditions. Highlights include Zürich’s St. Peter’s Church, famed for having the largest clock face in Europe, and the Fraumünster. Visitors can also see a recreation of the Glacier Express, often called the slowest yet most scenic train ride in the world, alongside cultural touches such as traditional Swiss papercutting and the alphorn, a long wooden instrument of the Alps.
Alpine Adventure is presented in collaboration with Switzerland Tourism, and supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in Singapore, SWISS International Air Lines, Travel Switzerland, Zürich Tourism, Geneva Tourism, Adelboden-Lenk-Kandersteg Tourism, Glacier Express, and Gornergrat Railway.

Flower Dome
Step aboard the golden cabin of the Gornergrat Railway--the world’s first fully electrified cogwheel line--and take in sweeping views of the Matterhorn, the most photographed mountain on Earth!
Explore the recreation of the Glacier Express, the famed "slowest express train" in the world in Flower Dome. The 5.5-metre-long cabin features the iconic panoramic windows, allowing you to walk through and imagine yourself on a magnificent alpine adventure.
Discover a reimagined 3-metre-wide Flower Clock with almost 1,000 begonias in red, pink, and yellow, complete with real working hands in Flower Dome. First created in 1955, the landmark is also known as Geneva’s “Botanical Timekeeper”.
Admire striking recreations of Zurich’s historic church towers, from Fraumünster to St. Peter’s with the largest clock face in Europe.
Elatior begonia (Begonia x hiemalis)
Hybrids of tuberous and wax begonias with fleshy, heart-shaped leaves, they bear double flowers in many colours (though never blue) almost year-round, even in winter.
Begonia x tuberhybrida ‘AmeriHybrid Ruffled'
Tuberous begonias that bear large, double blooms with ruffled, camellia-like petals, among the largest begonia flowers ever bred.
Antirrhinum cv. (Snapdragon)
The common name “snapdragon” comes from the flower’s interesting trait where the base of the bloom would snap open and shut like a dragon’s mouth. Snapdragons grow on tall, upright spikes with numerous blooms arranged in a staggered pattern.
Cleome spinosa (Spiny spiderflower)
Spiderflowers are known for their airy, spidery flower clusters, typically with combination of white, pale pink, and dark pink flowers within each inflorescence. They stand upright on sturdy stems to add interest and height in the planting bed.
Petunia spp
Petunias are popular garden flowers with trumpet-shaped blooms in a wide range of colours, from soft pastels to vibrant hues. They are known for their long flowering season and ability to spill gracefully over planters and borders.
Matricaria chamomilla (Chamomile)
A dainty herb with feathery leaves, its small daisy-like flowers typically bloom in white and yellow. They are also known for their calming scent and are often used in herbal teas and remedies.
Exclusively for Singapore residents, seniors can enjoy a special $5* admission to the Flower Dome on weekdays from 15 Sep to 15 Oct 2025. Follow the steps to purchase your ticket:
