Some of Singapore’s most popular icons like Dick Lee, Kit Chan, Rahimah Rahim and Li Fei Hui will be joined by the cast of Fried Rice Paradise – The Drama Series as well as alumni of SPOP Sing! 2018 and Mediacorp’s Young Talents Project 2019, featuring Singapore’s best young classical music talents onstage for a 3-hour concert.
The evening will culminate in a finale performance of Singapore songs, a shared recitation of the Pledge and National Anthem, capped off with a heartfelt mass-singing of Home.

One of the most established and multi-faceted artistes in Singapore, Kit Chan is often dubbed Singapore's "national treasure". Since her debut in 1993, she has been a trailblazer who has proven herself in diverse areas including pop music, musical theatre, television drama, poetry, songwriting, entrepreneurship, creative direction and community work.
Rahimah Rahim has been in the entertainment industry for five decades. Having started her acting and singing career from the tender age of just six, she has released no less than 12 albums and has performed across Asia and Europe in her glittering career.
Shabir is a national award winning singer-songwriter, record producer, music composer and performer from Singapore whose works are predominantly in Tamil. He is the winner of the inaugural singing competition Vasantham Star 2005. In 2012 he wrote and composed Singai Naadu, the National Day Parade 2012 Tamil song that won praise from the Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong.
SPOP winner Jarrell Ng
In 2018, Jarrell took part in Mediacorp’s SPOP SING! Competition and won the hearts of the audience, eventually emerging as champion.
He has had a few achievements internationally – finishing top nine in the Taiwan singing competition, Million Star in 2011, appearing on a China singing show, Sound of My Dream 2 in 2017 and releasing his EP album Little Prince’s Adventure when he was 14 years old.
933 DJ Mei Gui
With a burning passion for singing, Mei Gui entered the entertainment scene in 2006 when she participated in Channel U’s reality singing competition Campus Superstar Season 1, where she emerged as a Top 10 female finalist. Mei Gui currently helms the weekday afternoon radio program午刻乐乐from 10am – 2pm on Singapore’s Top Chinese Radio station YES 933.
Vasantham Star winners Nandhita & Swathi
Swathi is currently learning music under Guru Amit Dhamelia (Param Swaram Performing Arts Singapore) and Ms Keerthana Rao (Bmusician- Online Music Academy). Swathi and her partner, Nandhitha Gurunath were the title winners for Vasantham Star 2017.
Nandhitha is the student of Guru Amit Dhamelia and Dr. Alleppey Lakshmi. She carries the title of Vasantham Star 2017 along with her partner Swathi Suresh and Sangeetha Visharadh, awarded by the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS).
Effervescent, dynamic and versatile, MICappella is one of Asia’s leading vocal band based in Singapore.
Winner of the International Moscow Spring Festival 2017 and runners up at the Sing-off China reality television competition, MICappella had the honour of appearing at National Day Parade 2018 Celebrations and Singapore Day 2019 in Shanghai where they performed the evolution of NDP Songs which is a medley of 26 National Day songs from the early 1960s to date!
Dick Lee is one of Singapore’s best-known personalities in the art scene. Besides his creative output as a musician, playwright and designer, Lee is also involved in events management and advertising. In 2004, he was conferred the Cultural Medallion, one of the top accolades in Singapore, for his achievements in music. Throughout his career, Dick has orchestrated and directed numerous national level projects and events.
Li Fei Hui
Born out of Singapore’s prolific Mandopop era Xinyao, Roy Li Fei Hui has built himself a reputation as a much sought-after songwriter over the last three decades. Besides penning his own songs and producing his own albums, the musician has written and produced hit songs for many regional stars including Andy Lau, Jeff Chang, Jacky Cheung and A-do. His musical talents have received acclaim from numerous awards shows all over the region, with Li winning awards for both his vocal abilities as well as his composition skills, and he has undeniably been one of Singapore’s best exports to the Taiwanese music industry.
Fang Rong has been modelling and in commercials since young and was introduced to the acting industry at a tender age of seven. She was involved in Channel 5’s English drama productions Faculty, Fine Tune, The Hush as well as Channel 8’s Chinese drama production, You Can Be An Angel 2, The Lead and Reach for the Skies. She also featured in Dick Lee’s first movie Wonder Boy and can be currently seen starring in Mediacorp’s stage-to-screen adaptation of Dick Lee’s Fried Rice Paradise, where she gets to show off her singing prowess as the lead character Bee Lean.
Daryl Ann came in 3rd in SPOP SING! in 2018. Though Daryl-Ann is not of pure Chinese descent, she is fluent in both English and Mandarin. She taught herself to play the piano, guitar, ukulele and drums.
Getai Challenge winner Desmond Ng
Desmond Ng started singing professionally in 2009 and achieved Top 8 in a Taiwan singing and songwriting competition in 2010. Ng took part in The Getai Challenge organised by Mediacorp in 2015. His heart-thumping performances thrilled the audience and won him the championship.
Anugerah winner Shafiq
Mohd Shahfiq went from delivering pizzas to being a rising star in the local Malay music community after winning Anugerah, a reality singing competition by Mediacorp's Malay television channel Suria in 2017, to join the list that includes established singers in the local Malay music industry such as Aliff Aziz, Hyrul Anuar, Fauzie Laily and Sarah Aqilah.
