  • This online experience lasts 45 minutes. We'll explore the mountain and bridges, as well as the upper and lower forest floor of the Cloud Forest. The mountain is densely planted with fascinating plants while you learn about plant collections such as Aroids, Begonia, Vireya Rhododendrons and Medinilla.

Many of these species face the threats of climate change and habitat loss brought about by human activities. It is hoped that displaying them in the conservatories will help to promote awareness of the wonders of nature and the value of plants to Man and the importance of conserving natural environments.

This experience is great for team-building, school projects, families & solo travelers!

About your host: Chad Davis

  • I am the Deputy Director of Gardens by the Bay’s Cloud Forest, where I oversee the care and maintenance of plants, including rare and vulnerable species. I first discovered my passion for plants after moving to the Sonoran Desert in Arizona and was fascinated by how resilient and tough a plant has to be to survive in such a harsh environment. This discovery, combined with my curious and adventurous spirit, inspired me to pursue an education and career in horticulture, which eventually led me to Singapore. I could not resist the lure of being part of the most ambitious horticultural project I had ever heard of! I feel very lucky and proud to have been a part of it from such an early phase. I have had the chance to watch the conservatories grow from a construction site to one of the must visit indoor gardens in the world!
