Orchid Extravaganza Cultural Programmes

Join us this July for the Orchid Extravaganza Cultural Programmes, where you can experience the rich cultural traditions of Indonesia alongside the floral display. Catch a ceremonial dance of harmony, prosperity and fertility, then take part in hands-on activities to discover Javanese calligraphy and the art of wayang kulit (traditional shadow puppet theatre).

Presented in partnership with the Ministry of Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Embassy of Indonesia and MASA.

Sirna Kala

Inspired by Loro Blonyo, the Javanese symbol of harmony and prosperity, this traditional creative dance presents a ritual of protection and purification believed to ward off misfortune and negative energies. Watch graceful movements unfold alongside symbolic prayers for safety, harmony and well-being.
