Young Gardens Explorer is a project-based programme designed to encourage learning through exploration and discovery. Designed to adapt to the needs of various subjects and Co-Curricular Activities, the programme aims to provide schools with an opportunity to carry out experiential learning in nature.
What does the programme entail?
Students visit Gardens by the Bay to work on a project based on a selected topic. The possibilities are endless! Here are some sample topics
- [Mother Tongue] Draw a comic about a visit to the Gardens
- [Art] Paint a scene of Dragonfly Lake using watercolours
- [English] Write a descriptive paragraph about the plant and/or animal habitats in the Gardens
- [Environmental Club] Create a poster to promote ways in which their schoolmates can practise sustainability in their daily lives
- [D&T] Build a functional model of the Supertrees
Students will receive an e-certificate upon completion of this project and have the opportunity to have their work featured on our social media!
