The Gardens by the Bay Apprenticeship Programme (GAP) is a one-year structured training programme designed to develop a new generation of horticulturists with specialised skills in conservatory management, creative floriculture, applied horticulture, and visitor-centric display delivery. The programme combines classroom-based learning, hands-on training, and on-the-job experience within Gardens by the Bay’s unique operational environment. As part of the programme, apprentices will participate in the development and execution of a floral display in the Flower Dome as their capstone project.

Successful applicants without prior horticulture training will attend professional foundation horticulture courses conducted by the Centre for Urban Greenery and Ecology (CUGE) and will undergo more intensive on-the-job training (OJT) with close mentor guidance.
