General Information

The annual Gardens by the Bay and MediaCorp National Day Concert returns with the theme “Ties that Bloom, in celebration of Singapore’s 60th birthday. This year’s SG60 edition shines a light on the connections that shape us - as friends, families, and one united people - the very ties that make us Singaporean.

Festivities begin at 4.30pm with a lively line-up of pre-show activities, from larger-than-life nostalgic games to a bustling food street serving up local hawker favourites and traditional kopitiam delights. At 5.00pm, visitors can enjoy a pre-show concert featuring an exciting mix of homegrown acts. The main concert kicks off at 7.30pm, celebrating love, friendship and family through heartfelt performances and powerful collaborations.

The evening wraps up with a spectacular fireworks display, bringing the night to a dazzling close at the Meadow.

The concert is FREE, so mark your calendars and make it a fun outing with your family and pals!

Hosted by popular personalities Gurmit Singh, Nithiya Rao, Yasminne Cheng and Zhin Sadali, and featuring popular stars, this seventh edition of NDC is packed with heartfelt moments that spotlight the ties among us.

Featuring a stellar lineup of performances, look forward to a stirring mass singalong of Home led by vocal powerhouse Kit Chan, with live sign language interpretation by Faaiqah Alkaff, followed by a duet with Charlie Lim on this year’s NDP song, Here We Are. Taufik Batisah brings high energy with a medley of local favourites alongside 10-year-old multi-instrumentalist Lyla Ng, while Mediacorp LOVE 972 DJ Chua Lee Lian, Alemay Fernandez and Meenakshy Bhaskar pay tribute to Singapore’s multicultural heartbeat with nostalgic classics.

Expect heartfelt collaborations too - from intergenerational acts like Mediacorp artiste JJ Neo and her mother Lucy Chow, to sibling duos Tay Kewei and Tay Kexin, and a romantic performance by real-life celebrity couple Annetha Ayyavoo and Mark Sara and more.

Singer-songwriter shazza also reunites with her a cappella roots, performing with NP Voices. Inclusivity takes centre stage with a rousing performance by The Purple Symphony, Singapore’s largest inclusive orchestra, delivering a medley of local tunes that blend Eastern and Western instruments.

The celebration continues with the live debut of this year’s NDC theme song, Ties That Bloom, performed by Hady Mirza, and a vibrant finale by hip-hop artist Yung Raja with his new single Miss Call. It’s a celebration of family, friendship, and all things Singaporean!

Gather your friends and families, bring your picnic mats and join the pre-event festivities starting from 4.30pm on 3 August 2025.

For the first time ever, the National Day Concert will feature a lively food street celebrating Singapore’s rich makan culture — from chilli crab and satay to chicken rice and more iconic local flavours. Also, take a nostalgic trip down memory lane with larger-than-life renditions of Yesteryear Games like tikam tikam and goli — perfect for some friendly competition with your loved ones.

Starting at 5.00pm, visitors can also enjoy pre-concert performances and experience Singapore’s local talents delivering a dynamic mix of originals and popular covers, including The Purple Symphony.

The celebration is made even sweeter with delightful freebies for everyone. You can take home a plant grown by Gardens by the Bay and enjoy all-time favorites such as old-school ice cream at the concert. All freebies are available while stocks last, so come early to make the most of the festivities!

Yes! As part of the National Day Concert celebrations at The Meadow, you can look forward to a dazzling display of fireworks lighting up the night sky in honour of Singapore’s 60th birthday.

You may head to below locations from 4.30pm:

  • Cotton candy, popcorn & slushie booths: East Mound (nearest to gate 2)
  • Ice cream cart: Palm Court and The Meadow entrance
  • Plant giveaway: Entrance of The Meadow after The Planet Sculpture, accessible via gate 1 and gate 3

Other Visitor Information

Visitors are strongly encouraged to take public transport to the gardens. Please click here for directions to the venue and the nearest parking facilities and rates. Please note that Bayfront Plaza carpark will be closed from 5.00pm onwards on 3 Aug 2025.

Visitors visiting the Gardens for Gardens by the Bay and Mediacorp National Day Concert should alight at The Meadow or Main Entrance drop off/pick up point. Please click here for directions to the venue.

Yes! Take the opportunity to picnic with your family and friends by packing your own food and beverages. You can also check out the delicious items for sale at the food trucks and stalls stationed at The Meadow or various other dining options available at Gardens by the Bay. Visitors are advised to plan ahead in anticipation for large crowds and long queues.

This is a free-standing / free seating event. You are free to sit or stand to enjoy the performances, so head down early to stake out a spot for yourself!

Mats are welcomed! However, please refrain from bringing along large chairs and inflatable seats that would block your neighbours’ view.

Yes, there will be security bag checks prior to entry at Gate 1 (The Planet), Gate 2 (Colonnade), Gate 3 (The Meadow drop off point)

Please note that you will NOT be allowed to bring in:

  • Flammable or corrosive materials
  • Laser pointers
  • Weapons and sharp objects of any kind 
  • Explosive materials
  • Munitions/ blanks
  • Unmanned aerial devices (e.g. drone)
  • Bicycles and personalised motor vehicles


The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not comply with the above.

Re-entry to the venue is subject to venue capacity at the point of re-entry. However, those re-entering will have to join the queue again, and undergo security bag checks for re-admission.

Entry may be denied if crowds hit the maximum capacity.

This event is open to all! Priority lane access is available for the elderly and persons with disabilities, so please approach our ushers for assistance. 

Please note that The Meadow has uneven grass surfaces, posing some challenges in navigating the grounds. If you are unable to join us at The Meadow, feel free to catch the concert as it airs on mewatch, Channel 5 and Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube on Saturday, 16 August, from 7.30pm to 9.00pm.

We take the safety and security of everyone seriously, and will be undertaking all necessary measures to ensure this. Throughout the event, armed police officers will be on patrol.

Those who require medical assistance can approach any of the medics or the first-aid tent. There are 2 ambulances on standby at the venue for emergency cases.

Should anyone feel unwell or spot any suspicious activity, please alert the working crew on-site.

The Gardens is smoke-free. 

There are public toilets, including accessible toilets, as well as diaper-changing facilities within the vicinity of The Meadow and around The Gardens. The nearest public toilet is located near the ticketing counter at BayFront Plaza or near Garden Pod. 

The Lost & Found counter will be located beside the Hospitality Suite. Please return any lost items directly to the Lost & Found counter.   

You may bring your pets along for the concert. Please keep them leashed at all times, clean up after your pets and dispose of all waste in a hygienic manner.

The organisers will be monitoring conditions according to the National Environment Agency’s weather advisories. Activities will continue in the event of light rain, so do bring along your own foldable umbrellas and ponchos. Should there be heavy rain with the presence of thunder and lighting, all activities will be halted until further notice.

If there is threat of inclement weather, please check our social media platforms and website for latest updates before you head down to The Gardens.

Garden Rhapsody will go on as per normal at Supertree Grove at 7.45pm and 8.45pm. 

Borealis will be cancelled due to SPARK and live screening event at Supertree Grove.  You are welcome to head over to Supertree Grove Lawn at 9pm to enjoy SPARK, a free immersive light display inspired by stars, fireflies and unity.
