Our indoor programmes take place in various locations in the Flower Dome while our outdoor programmes take place in various outdoor locations in the Gardens.

Our programmes are run on weekdays, excluding public holidays. They range from 45 minutes to 90 minutes in duration and are run from 9am – 12pm and 2pm – 5pm. 

Our programmes are run by trained facilitators who are registered with the Ministry of Education (MOE). Each group of 20 students will be led by 1 facilitator who will be bringing the students around the locations listed in the programme description.

For programmes that include 5G Digital Trails, each student will be issued an iPad Mini with access to activities, videos, games, and AR simulations which will be used by the facilitators to deepen engagement with the content.

For pre-school, primary school, and secondary school programmes that do not include 5G Digital Trails, activity sheets will be provided.

Our programme fees are inclusive of GST and do not include admission tickets. Concession rates for admission into the conservatories are available for eligible educational institutions and are only available for reservations made through the Education team.

Our facilitated school programmes are run and billed in groups of 20 participants. Accompanying teachers/staff/parent volunteers (max 3 per group) are not included in this headcount. Please inform us if additional accompanying parents are required to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or mobility/sensory challenges.

A group size of more than 20 participants will require additional group(s).

For example, a class size of 25 students could be split into the following groups:

• Group 1: 12 students
• Group 2: 13 students
   

As the programme fee is a group charge, the full programme fee still applies should there be fewer than 20 participants per group.

In the event of heavy rain, the programme will be conducted in a nearby sheltered location and resume at the designated outdoor location once the rain stops. While the full programme content will be covered, the students may not be able to observe the plants on-site.

In the event of light rain/drizzle, the programme can be conducted at the designated outdoor location, provided the students have their own ponchos and the accompanying teacher agrees to do so.

Kindly note that no refunds or returns will be provided in the event of wet weather.

For Garden Rainbow (Preschool):

Garden Rainbow is suitable for children aged 3 – 4 years old and is specially curated as a caregiver-child programme. Caregivers are welcome to participate (1 caregiver per child) and are included in the headcount for the programme. Each group can have a maximum of 10 caregiver-child pairs (20 participants).

For all other programmes:

To allow for the smooth running of the programme, kindly keep the total number of accompanying adults per group to 3 or below. This includes teachers, staff, parents, parent volunteers, and caregivers.

We’d be happy to postpone your visit at no additional cost should there be active cases of communicable diseases in your school. Kindly notify your Education team liaison officer or write in to education@gardensbythebay.com.sg before your visit, at your earliest convenience.

As our programmes are designed for active exploration of the smaller pocket gardens in Gardens by the Bay, our programmes do not include structured hands-on activities (except for Garden Rainbow).

For health and safety reasons, food tasting is also not included in all our programmes, including programmes that have content relating to edible plants.

Concession rates for admission into the conservatories are available for eligible educational institutions.

Schools can purchase Flower Dome tickets or bundled Flower Dome and Cloud Forest tickets. Kindly write in to education@gardensbythebay.com.sg for more information.

The outdoor areas of the Gardens are free to visit and do not require an admission ticket.

Should you wish to plan an event at the Gardens, kindly write in to education@gardensbythebay.com.sg. Our officers will be able to advise you accordingly.

An Organised Activity permit is required for learning journeys involving your own resources and will be provided at no additional cost. Concession rates for admission into the conservatories are available for eligible educational institutions.

The concession rates for admission into the conservatories are only available for reservations made through the Education team.

Additional ticket purchases on the date of your visit can be made at our on-site Ticketing Counters or via our website. Please note that these tickets will be charged at the public rate. Credit terms and Vendors@Gov payment modes are not available for purchases made on-site or via our website.

The bus drop-off point is located at Main Arrival. 

Information to complete RAMs is available and will be provided as part of the information kit during the reservation process.

Several sheltered and non-sheltered outdoor locations are available for your students to have their snack break.  These outdoor locations are, however, public spaces and cannot be reserved. Kindly keep the area litter free and dispose of any rubbish responsibly.

Please note that no eating or drinking (except plain water) is allowed in the conservatories, and that re-entry into the conservatories is not allowed.

Kindly inform your Education team liaison officer if your school is planning to have a snack break and we’d be happy to recommend suitable locations.

We are unable to accept food deliveries at the Gardens. Should you wish to cater food, venue rental is required.

As storage options for cooked food items are unavailable, we would advise bringing along non-perishable dry food items that can be easily carried around, such as bread or biscuits.

Alternatively, kindly refer to the following list for F&B options at the Gardens.

Kindly advise your students to travel light as they will have to carry their belongings with them throughout the course of the programme.

For schools visiting on a programme with a 5G Digital Trail, kindly advise your students to keep their hands free as they will need both their hands to interact with the iPad Mini.

There are no storage facilities available for the students’ bags and other logistics. 

Friends of the Gardens members do not need to purchase admission tickets to Flower Dome and/or Cloud Forest. They can use their membership to enter the Flower Dome and/or Cloud Forest for school programmes and learning journeys.
