Friends of Dogs (Parent-Child)
Workshop
Gardens by the Bay provides a dog-friendly outdoor environment where many Singaporeans spend time with their dogs amidst the greenery. In this parent-child workshop, find out what dogs need to live a happy and healthy life. Learn about basic dog behaviour and practise appropriate ways of interacting with dogs.
In this workshop, you and your child will learn about:
- Unique body features and adaptations of dogs
- Dietary requirements
- Basic animal behaviour, handling, and how to approach a pet dog in public
Activity highlights include:
- Hands-on experience with using real dog care items (eg: choosing appropriate items and building suitable homes)
- Learning to choose appropriate dog diets by comparing dog foods and ingredients
- Pet dog interaction* and practise reading dog behaviour
Workshop Fee
$100 per pair
Pre-registration is required.

Important Information:
- This workshop is by pre-registration only. Limited slots are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
- This is a parent-child workshop, suitable for children aged 5 to 11. Each child is to be accompanied by an adult throughout the programme, and both parent and child must register for the workshop.
- Due to safety and animal welfare considerations, a live dog may or may not be used during the workshop. Should a live dog be present, the activity will be under the direct supervision and instruction of a veterinarian to ensure the welfare of the dog and safety of the participants.
- Gardens by the Bay reserves the right to amend any programme without prior notice at its sole and absolute discretion.
