We respect your individual privacy and treat your Personal Data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). This Data Protection Policy (“Policy”) explains to you how we deal with the information that we collect from you, in particular, the purposes for which we collect, use and disclose your Personal Data.

Closed circuit television systems and other surveillance devices are installed at our premises which may record your image for the purposes of: (i) monitoring the security and safety of persons; (ii) assisting in investigations of crime and other incidents; and (iii) managing the services provided at our premises.
3. Consent of Collection of Personal Data
(i) By providing your Personal Data through any of the abovementioned ways, you have agreed to the collection, use and disclosure of the Personal Data by Gardens by the Bay for any of the purposes listed herein.
(ii) When you provide Gardens by the Bay any Personal Data relating to a third party (such as information on your dependent, spouse, children and/or parents), you represent and warrant that you are authorised to do so and/or the consent of that third party has been obtained for the collection, use and disclosure of the Personal Data by us for any of the purposes listed in this Privacy Policy.
(iii) The Gardens and/or any party authorised by us may carry out photography and/or videography on the premises, including all ticketed and non-ticketed areas of the Gardens. You hereby grant us and such party authorised by us permission to use your image or likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital media for promotional, advertising, publicity or other purposes and in any format or media whatsoever. You further waive all rights whatsoever including copyright in these material which shall vest in Gardens by the Bay or any party authorised by Gardens by the Bay.

(vi) When you sign up for our app, a random User ID is generated and associated with your mobile number. Your mobile number, name and User ID are stored in a secure server, and never shown to the public.
While you are enjoying your visit at Gardens by the Bay, the “Smart Tracking” function will be activated upon your consent and it will store the anonymised User ID of any other visitor who comes in contact with you and vice versa. The Smart Tracking function is only activated when you are at Gardens By the Bay and will automatically be disabled when you leave Gardens by the Bay. Your location data may be used to detect where you are within Gardens by the Bay, but it won’t be stored.
The anonymized IDs are stored with encryption and doesn’t contain your personal information. Any data from the system is only shared with MOH for the sole purpose of contact tracing upon an official request. The data will be automatically deleted after 30 days.

The accuracy of our data collection begins with you – you undertake that you will provide accurate and complete Personal Data.
(i) You may request to access and/or correct the personal data currently in our possession or control by submitting a written request to us. We will need sufficient information from you in order to ascertain your identity as well as the nature of your request, so as to be able to deal with your request and shall attend to your request within 30 calendar days. We will provide you with a written estimate of the fee we will be charging. Please note that we are not required to respond to ordeal with your access request unless you have agreed to pay the fee.
7. Usage of Cookies
(i) A "cookie" is a piece of data that is sent by a web server to a web browser. It identifies you as a unique user and enables the server to collect information from the browser. It will be sent to your computer every time you visit our Websites.
(ii) Generally, we use cookies to simplify the logging on process for registered users, to help ensure the security and authenticity of registered users, to provide the mechanisms for online shopping and to enable traffic monitoring. Non-registered users are sent anonymous cookies to keep track of their browsing patterns and estimate our audience size. This allows us to compile statistics to understand how users use our Websites and help us improve the structure, services and features of our Websites. In addition, any visitor who has clicked on a website advertisement on another site that links to our Websites will be sent a session cookie (which are temporary cookies that remain in the cookie file until you leave) that will allow us to analyse advertising effectiveness and manage our relationship with affiliate sites. You further acknowledge and agree that Gardens by the Bay shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services.

10. Request to Withdraw Consent
(i) You may withdraw your consent for the collection, use and/or disclosure of your personal data in our possession or under our control by submitting your request to dpo@gardensbythebay.com.sg.
(ii) We will process your request within a reasonable time from such a request for withdrawal of consent being made and will thereafter not collect use and/or disclose your Personal Data in the manner stated in your request.
(iii) The withdrawal of your consent may mean depending on the extent of your withdrawal of consent for us to process your Personal Data, that we will not be able to continue with your existing relationship with us.
11. Administration and Management of Personal Data
(i) We have put in place reasonable security arrangements to ensure that your Personal Data is adequately protected and secured. Appropriate security arrangements will be taken to prevent any unauthorised access, collection, use disclosure, copying, modification, leakage, loss, damage and/or alteration of your personal data, for example, by
