A fun post-exam programme for schools!

Race to Sustainability! is back!

Send as many students as you like and compete with other schools as you race against time to break codes, solve puzzles and complete various quests around the Gardens!

Discovering new things about the Gardens and working together as a team have never been this fun! Attractive prizes await!

The more students you sign up, the higher your school’s chances of winning the award for Best Participation School. Don’t wait any longer!

Learning Objectives

  • - Develop awareness of the threats and effects of habitat destruction and climate change
    - Understand the environmental sustainability strategies at Gardens by the Bay
    - Learn about the variety of plants on display, and their special adaptations
    - Raise awareness of current environmental issues, and appreciate the need for conservation and living responsibly as a global citizen
    - Exercise 21st century competencies and value individual effort and teamwork


  • Individual
    All participants will receive a Race to Sustainability! certificate and Finisher token.


    Teams that complete the Race the fastest with the highest scores will be rewarded!
    Teams that demonstrate the ability to work well together during the Race stand a chance to win prizes for teamwork!


    Schools that send the most number of participants will win the award for Best Participation School.


  • School PE attire with covered shoes and a jacket for the Conservatories.

Programme Details

  • Primary School: 10 to 12 years old
    Secondary School: 13 to 17 years old
  • Mon, 21 Oct 2019
  • 9.00am – 1.00pm (School Awards Ceremony at 12.30pm)
  • Gardens by the Bay
  • Capacity: No Limit!
  • $6 per pax^
    $10 per accompanying teacher
  • One complimentary ticket will be issued to an accompanying teacher / adult for every 20 paying students.

    Race to Sustainability! is open to the following Primary and Secondary MOE Schools in Singapore: Government / Government-Aided / Independent / Specialised / Specialised-Independent.


    ^ The programme takes place in the Outdoor Gardens and Conservatories.

    Stationery, cap, sunblock, insect repellent, umbrella / poncho, drinking water, food / snacks
