DAHLIA DREAMS – THE HEAVENLY RACE
FLORAL DISPLAY

17 January - 23 February Flower Dome

Get caught up in the tale of the heavenly race and feast your eyes on Dahlia Dreams – The Heavenly Race, the first-ever collaboration with Beijing Florascape Co., Ltd. in Southeast Asia. Gracing the Flower Field with their famed Mosaiculture, the horticultural art of creating giant topiary-like sculptures with the use of bedding plants to carpet metal frames, the display also features an abundance of more than 70 Dahlia cultivars, and other festive plants commonly associated with the season such as Narcissus, Chrysanthemum, Azalea and Celosia!

The Amazon rainforest has unparalleled biodiversity, which includes over 14,000 orchid varieties – a number that accounts for more than half of the world’s orchid varieties!

Get Crafty with us this February at the South American Garden, Flower Dome! Colour in a dahlia postcard and pen a message to someone special while learning about these colourful festive blooms. 

Get Crafty is a series of 10 free drop-in activities featuring plants in the Flower Dome. Join us on the fourth Saturday of each month, from February to November 2020, to create a postcard featuring the plant of the month and write a special message to a loved one.

HORTICULTURE TALK FOR MEMBERS

Come join us for our talk on “Improving my garden and living environment with Effective Microorganisms”.

This talk/workshop by our guest speaker Dr Hia Hui Ching, Environment Consultant (Green Faculty) is suitable for members who are interested to know more about Effective Microorganisms and how activated solution can be used for gardening, household cleaning, odor removal and other useful purposes.

Pre-registration for the talk is required. Participants will need to bring along a used 500ml PET bottle with 400ml water.
